Etchr Art Bag Backpack mode

A New & Exciting Post-Kickstarter Chapter!

Hey all!

Edit: Our Art Carry Range is HERE!

Daz here, it's been a while since our last update as the team has been super busy closing out our Kickstarter campaign and launching Pre-Orders on our site.

Thank you so much to all those that supported us - those that pledged and those that got behind the campaign by helping us spread the word...we simply couldn't have done it without you!

We can't wait to deliver all the rewards and develop more gear specifically for the artist community.

We've been finalizing design elements, working on the manufacturing agreement, lining up quality assurance, squaring away logistics and kicking off the manufacturing process of our Art Satchel & Field Case.

There are a few other exciting updates we wanted to share with you - let's get to them...

NEW PRODUCT(S) IN DEVELOPMENT

Edit: Our Art Carry Range is HERE!

The quality and functionality of the Etchr Art Satchel has been very well received by the art community, but as you can imagine, cost is tightly linked to both quality and complexity - and the Etchr Art Satchel is arguably one of the most complex products our manufacturer has ever had to make.

Maintaining such a high quality finish and rich feature list leaves little room for us to markedly discount our flagship Art Satchel, putting the price of the product outside the reach of many artists - which is certainly not something we want.

We want to help more artists, create more art, not restrict our products to the favored few.

To this end, we've been clandestinely chipping away on the design of a more streamlined product that will sport a compelling price, but still retain the high quality finish and many key features and components of it's more expensive sibling.

We're not yet ready to reveal much more about the new product (or products...), but as always, if you have any suggestions, we'd love to hear your thoughts.

Watch this space...

ETCHR CAMPUS INITIATIVE

Art students will be the architects of the visual landscape that will guide us into our shared future, so we place a great deal of importance on them here at Etchr.

Over the past few weeks we've been busy on this front and we are proud to announce that we have appointed our first Etchr Student Ambassadors.

These students work in a number of creative mediums and will represent us at a handful of Universities and Art Institutions around the world.

Etchr Lab Student Ambassador Program

Student Ambassadors will help us to liaise with students and faculty to promote Etchr on campus, helping us better understand the needs of art students.

As part of this initiative, we will also introduce a Student Discount Program in the not-too-distant future!

On that front - if you are currently studying at an Art School and would like to share your insights with us and potentially become an Ambassador, please complete this brief survey and you'll also go in the running to win 1 of 5 new prototypes from our R&D lab.

We will announce the winners in December and will be introducing the members of our Student Ambassador team in the months to come.

PRIZE WINNERS

We have been running a giveaway competition for those on our email list and we are excited to announce the October winners of our Field Case prizes:

  • Liera Thomas
  • Matthew Gambrell
  • Daniela Garcia

Congratulations to the lucky winners! We'll be getting in touch to confirm details over the next few days.

We plan to continue to run competitions to reward you guys for all of your support! Our next comp will be in the lead up to Christmas, so make sure you're on our mailing list and let your friends know...or don't ;)
