Catalina Rodríguez Villazón is a passionate watercolourist and intrepid explorer from Asturias, Spain. She is also an art teacher who has conducted workshops in Spain, Japan, Cuba, Italy, Croatia, Greece, and Portugal.

Emma Lefebvre’s art journey began with doodles in her school binder, leading her to an arts high school where, over time, her passion for visual arts faded. During a challenging period, Emma rediscovered art as a source of solace, with simple walks to art stores and a set of watercolours reigniting her creativity.
Her renewed love for art blossomed as she found an inspiring, supportive community on Instagram. Using her teaching background, Emma began sharing the calming benefits of watercolour through YouTube; transforming her channel into a space for creativity and inspiration.

Nolwenn is a gifted watercolour artist whose fresh, modern palette captures the beauty of nature, shifting seasons, and her surroundings. Her book, Quatre saisons d’aquarelle, published in October 2024, showcases her dedication to making watercolour approachable, especially for beginners.

Jini Park is an Urban Sketcher and Travel Drawing artist from Korea with a background in visual design. Since discovering urban sketching in 2015, Jini has combined his passion for art and travel, capturing the unique essence of each destination in his sketchbook.
He thrives on connecting with fellow artists and travellers, drawing together and sharing creative experiences. For Jini, using an Etchr Sketchbook makes every sketching session feel even more meaningful, enhancing his connection to the places and people he encounters.

Dan Archer
Hong Kong
Dan Archer is an award-winning graphic journalist and artist specializing in illustrated reportage and comics journalism. For over 15 years, he’s used his art to highlight human rights issues like trafficking, migration, and displacement—combining powerful storytelling with a visual style that protects his subjects’ anonymity.
He’s also an avid urban sketcher and has taught illustrated reportage at Urban Sketchers Symposia worldwide.
His work has appeared in the BBC, Al Jazeera, Vice, National Geographic, and The Nib. In 2024, he published his debut graphic novel, Voices from Nepal, with the University of Toronto Press.

Tia Boon Sim
Singapore
Tia Boon Sim is an architect turned internationally recognized artist and educator, known for pioneering the urban sketching movement in Singapore. She is the Founding Director of Urban Sketchers and the Founder of Urban Sketchers Singapore.
Since retiring in 2022, Tia has continued to share her passion by teaching Urban Sketching at the Singapore University of Technology and Design. She is especially known for her love of accordion sketchbooks—a signature approach that earned her the title “Queen of the Accordion.”

Pedro Loureiro
Portugal
Pedro Loureiro is an architecture illustrator from Lisbon who brings places, events, and everyday life to the page through expressive sketches. His artistic journey began by copying comic book panels as a child, later evolving through formal training in architecture and active involvement with the Urban Sketchers community.
Pedro primarily works with waterproof ink and watercolour, using sketching as a powerful tool for perception and storytelling. He regularly teaches workshops, encouraging others to see the world in new ways and discover the stories hidden in everyday moments.

Natasha Newton is a British artist whose enchanting paintings are inspired by the forests, rolling landscapes, and rich natural beauty of the English countryside. With a carefully curated palette of soft, muted, and earthy tones, Natasha’s work evokes a sense of calm and dreamlike wonder. Her imaginative compositions often feature delicate patterns, intricate textures, and small houses nestled within the scenery—symbols of home, comfort, and safety. She primarily works in watercolour, gouache, and acrylic.

Hugo Barros Costa is a Portuguese architect and internationally award-winning artist whose expressive urban sketches have earned global recognition. With a PhD in architecture and a sketching practice spanning over a decade, Hugo has exhibited around the world—from the Fondation Louis Vuitton to galleries in New York, Rome, Paris, and Nagoya.
His work has earned major distinctions, including the Kevin Sloan Prize (twice), and he’s contributed storyboards for HBO and Sundance-nominated films. Through bold lines, rich washes, and an architect’s eye for space, Hugo captures not just cities—but the rhythm and emotion of life within them.

Caroline Smith is an artist, interior designer, and the creative behind Urban Sketchliner. With a background in 3D Design and a long-standing love of sketching, she integrates expressive drawing into her design process—capturing form, space, and story before the structure sets in.
Her passion for architecture, travel, and discovery fuels her sketchbook practice. Caroline is endlessly fascinated by texture, scale, and colour, and brings a fresh eye to every scene—whether through photography, watercolour, ink, or mixed media.
