Inspired by the roses, peonies and blossoms she returns to again and again, the set brings together two complementary surfaces for two different approaches to botanical painting: textured Cold Press for expressive watercolour and smooth Hot Press for detailed ink and line and wash. Exclusive tutorials guide you through both, while the porcelain Mini Palette keeps your colours close at hand.

We offer a two-year limited warranty, beginning at the time of purchase on all Etchr products sold. We warrant our products to be free from manufacturing defects in materials, workmanship, and failure or breakage of parts/full products that render them non-functional.
Why does the set include two different paper types?
Botanical painting can move from loose, expressive washes to precise ink lines and delicate details, and the right paper makes a difference.
The 8" Square Sketchbook features textured 300gsm Cold Press paper, ideal for watercolour washes, layering, granulation and larger floral compositions.
The Accordion Sketchbook features smooth 220gsm Hot Press paper, better suited to crisp ink lines, fine details and line and wash.
Both are artist-grade, acid-free and made from 100% cotton, giving you two distinct surfaces to explore different sides of botanical painting.
Why 100% cotton?
Watercolour asks a lot from paper. 100% cotton handles water beautifully, allowing pigments to flow while standing up to washes, layering and reworking. Both sketchbooks use artist-grade 100% cotton paper, so paper quality remains consistent even as you move between two very different surfaces.
What do the tutorials cover?
Each tutorial has been designed around one of the two sketchbooks. You'll explore a larger floral composition in watercolour on the textured Square Sketchbook, then turn to the smooth Accordion Sketchbook for botanical studies combining ink and watercolour. Painting outlines are included for both.
Does the Mini Palette come with paints?
No. The 19-well porcelain Mini Palette arrives empty so you can build your own colour selection using watercolour or gouache. It also includes a porcelain mixing dish and Cold Press colour chart, all housed inside a compact steel case.

About this Collaboration
Anna’s botanical work has always balanced expressive colour with intricate detail. When we came together for Full Bloom, we saw an opportunity to pair her approach to florals with Etchr’s expertise in artist-grade paper and tools.
Together, we created a collection that gives artists the freedom to explore botanical painting in different ways, with Anna’s guidance along the way.
From the paper surfaces to the tutorials and floral details throughout, every element was developed to feel distinctly Anna, distinctly Etchr, and completely at home together.
About Anna
Anna is a professional designer, illustrator and watercolour teacher based in Toronto. Her art can be seen on Canadian gold and silver coins, Starbucks holiday cups, young adult book covers and in vibrant murals in the streets of Toronto.
Her painting style is influenced by the decorative tradition of "Petrykivka" (Ukrainian folk art focussing on floral and plant motifs). She combines different traditional media, like ink and watercolor, with digital elements that add intricate, refined details to her designs.
Anna's goal in every class is to help students to progress, see the results, and above all to be enthusiastic about the medium without getting overwhelmed.
