Hi, you!
Ânia here. We're super excited to formally announce our latest product: the Etchr Mirror! Today we want to take a moment to talk about:
- How AWESOME you are for following the product reveal on social media.
- What is the Etchr Mirror.Â
- A video, pics and different ways to use it.
- Who it is for.
- Our Mirror Give Away winners <3
You probably saw the buzz we generated on social media throughout the month of October. Our Facebook and Instagram feed went dark grey as we slowly pulled back the curtain on the Etchr Mirror:
To be honest, I was a bit afraid to start such a bold approach when launching a new Etchr product that wasn't a bag. We were asking for your hunches to start momentum and you were AMAZING! <3Â
That's why I wanted to start this post with a big warm THANK YOU for following us, commenting, sharing and being part of our launch. When Mina and I started the Live Session, we had no idea what to expect. Your warmth, positivity and spectacular questions made it a very fun experience.
Â
OK, but what is the Etchr Mirror?
The Etchr Mirror is a device that when used with our App, can project any image onto any surface.
(Currently, the app is available for Android and Apple users. You can download it for free from the Apple or Google Play Store.)
Once you get the Etchr Mirror device, you can install the app on your phone or tablet and place it on the stand. The app allows you to upload any image, from either your device or the internet, and optimizes it for use with the Mirror. Once in the app, you can resize, rotate, reflect or change the image with the built-in filters.Â
The stand is collapsible and extremely portable. Because it has a very fail-proof way to assemble, it guarantees that the phone or tablet stays in the correct position to ensure a clear image projection, without any ghosting effect.
All there is left to do is to look through the Mirror to start working on whatever you want!
Â
In what ways can I use the Etchr Mirror?
That is the golden question. There's so much you can do with the Mirror, that the possibilities feel endless (I keep discovering new ways to use it all the time!).
I interviewed a few artist friends to get their honest thoughts and opinions:
As you can see, there are plenty of options. When asking on social media about it, you gave us the best answers: to project tattoos, practice embroidery, working on animation frames, refine drawings on thick paper, coloring, inking, to assist with the logo design workflow, practice anatomy...
Â
Is the Mirror only for Artists?
Our Mirror motto is "For the Artist in Everyone" because it can be used by children, adults, pro artists or even hobbyists.
Even if you're not an artist, you can use the Etchr Mirror to:
- Trace your favorite images (a great gift for kids to draw their favorite cartoons!)
- Practice mindfulness through tracing and coloring
- Bullet journaling
- Work on calligraphy
...and the list goes on and on.
Â
Still have questions?
Check out the recording of the Live Demo Mina and I did. Not only do we show how the Mirror works, we also answered a bunch of great questions from the chat!
...and if you still have questions after watching this, feel free to post them on the comment section below and we'll do our best to address them!
We will have some more videos showing how the Mirror works soon, so stay tuned for those as well.
Â
Meet our Mirror Winners:
As you may know, we did 4 Mirror Give Aways on social media (two on Facebook and two on Instagram). We asked you how you would use the product, and your answers were nothing short of incredible - thank you!!
Picking the winners wasn't easy, but Mina and I managed to select four really good answers that kicked our chins to the ground and left us with our mouths wide open.
Congratulations go to:
